Case Study: Peninsula Open Space Trust

The Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST) brings together organizations and individuals to ensure that open spaces on the Peninsula and in the South Bay are permanently protected, benefiting their community, environment, and economy. Since their founding in 1977, POST has protected more than 80,000 acres of permanent open space, farms and parkland in San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Santa Cruz counties. Until recently, their headquarters building was very dated. POST brought in David Whitney Architects (DWA), Kimball, and Status Wood to help redesign their headquarters building to reflect a more modern style, accommodate growth, create an environment that encourages collaboration and communication, and emphasize sustainability.
